Decisions Decisions!

It’s during the editing that the feel of my wedding films really start to take shape, and often I’m faced with many decisions of ‘which way to go’ with a particular edit.  The music, the footage, the couple, the story I’m trying to tell…all takes a lot of time to work out in the planning stage.

Lindsey & Kenny’s edit was just one of those films.  Since their Wedding Trailer some months back had a real fun upbeat feel, it was important to do something a little different and after putting together the whole film, and a separate highlights film I still had a feeling that I really wanted to use a beautiful ceremony reading by Kenny’s step-father that didn’t feature prominently elsewhere.

It’s a reading I’ve heard many times in different guises, but it was read with so much depth and a wonderful dramatic pacing, that I just had to make a feature of it and create a special extra sequence.

So, here it is – “These are the hands of your best friend”
