Lovely intimate socially distanced garden wedding
Well, hasn't 2020 been a strange one! It's crazy to think that this post is about our FIRST wedding of the year, in July!
It's been a tough time but as the restrictions because of Covid-19 are gradually starting to lift, we were absolutely delighted to get back into the swing of things and film Gavin & Diana's intimate wedding ceremony. (social distancing has been made slightly easier with the current guidelines regarding family and friend groups)
Gavin & Diana had to postpone their original wedding plans for their Prestonfield House wedding by pushing things back to next year because of the pandemic. However, they felt it was important to still go ahead with their 2020 ceremony and took up their Humanist Celebrant's offer to hold the ceremony in his beautiful garden in Edinburgh.
So last Saturday we filmed a wonderful little ceremony in Tim Maguire's home garden, followed by a quick portrait shoot at their original venue - Prestonfield House - as we felt it was important to tie in Prestonfield to their story. We're delighted to share their highlights film below.
Initially, things felt a little weird for us as there are a number of different ways of working to implement social distancing and proper infection control, but you know what..... once we got used to these slight tweaks, we realised that this is just like any wedding! A celebration of the love of two people and the joining of two families! As such filming these small wedding ceremonies is perhaps even more important than normal.
To be able to share this short film with their family and friends across the world, to help family and friends really feel part of the wedding day is absolutely priceless. Best of all, we can still create wonderful little wedding films that tell the story of your (even more) special wedding ceremony and day!
