Micro Weddings? We can understand some of the anxiety of having to scale down your wedding plans from 100's of people, down to the current restricted numbers, but we have to say that the past couple of "Micro Weddings" (as they have been called) have been absolutely beautiful, and in essence, bring weddings back to being the special and intimate affairs they really should be.
The one thing that is clear, is that there's no less fun, no less meaning and the couples themselves have enjoyed the day just as much with less stress about timings and schedule. They very much remind us of destination weddings abroad where things are so much more chilled and relaxed. This is certainly nothing to be worried about, in fact things just seem to feel that little bit more special with a select group of family and friends there on the day. Most of our couples who have decided to go ahead on their original wedding dates also have a big evening celebration planned for next year, this seems like the perfect plan to us. A small intimate wedding celebration now, and the big evening reception party later on, two parties instead of one? Sounds pretty good! 🙂
Fiona & Graeme couldn't have chosen any better than the absolutely stunning Glen Affric Estate in the Highlands. The location speaks for itself in the film, but every single aspect matched up to those stunning views. The warm welcome the guests (and us too) received, the exceptional service and the food... oh boy, the food was extraordinary! This place is special!
When Fiona & Graeme went to first look at Glen Affric it was a beautiful sunny blue sky day, with the loch like glass. Sure, their wedding day wasn't quite as clear, but it was moody, atmospheric, and beautiful in a different way, with the outdoor ceremony by the loch's edge. What a view to behold while saying your wedding vows!
A wonderful, fun, intimate wedding day. Pretty perfect if you ask us. These Micro weddings...we like them... A LOT!
