WHO ARE WE?

Firstly we absolutely love what we do, and we hope it shows?!

Weddings are our passion and telling wedding stories for our couples is a real privilege.

STEVE - Creative Director, Camera Genius & Editor

I have the best job ever! I'm so blessed with a wonderful wife (Yvonne) and a fabulous son (Callum aged 13). I simply love weddings because of the unique stories that they all tell, and it's such a privilege to share in these special moments in people's lives. To be able to capture their wedding day and create meaningful and individual stories is a joy! Like I say, I have the best job ever!

Background: A countryside upbringing in rural Shropshire, boys boarding school, University of Birmingham to do Biology Degree, then 8 years in the Pharmaceutical Industry. After progressing as far as I wanted, it was time to turn a hobby into a business (2001).10 years later, here we are with 4 VOWS Customer Service Awards, and two prestigious UK wide IOV Awards in 2009 & 2010 for my Wedding Films. I think I found my calling and I guess we must be doing something right. Hope you agree.

Favourite tipple: Central Otago Pinot Noir

3 things you can't live without: PS3, iPhone full of music, Family.

What did you want to be aged 6?: A drayman (I was brought up in pubs! They delivered beer, what can I say!)

 

YVONNE - "The Boss" & Admin Genius

Background: Born and raised in Edinburgh, went to James Gillespies' High School and then Napier Uni to study Biology. Then 6 years in the Pharmaceutical Industry where I met Steve, and after getting married on a beach in the Caribbean decided to set up my own successful Wedding Planning company (Scottish Wedding Consultants) arranging weddings for clients from all over the world. I am also in total control of all of Cherry Tree's admin and make sure the boys are always in the right place at the right time. A full-time job believe me! The 3 VOWS Customer Service awards we've won really do show that we achieve our aims of providing truly exemplary service!

What did you want to be aged 6?: An Air Hostess.

Background: Raised in the Highlands. Traveled widely for a few years and now studying Film & Photography at Napier Uni in Edinburgh.

4 words: Originality, Laughter, Chips, Cheeky

Favourite tipple: Ice Cold Peroni

3 things you can't live without: Sex, Drugs & Rock n Roll (sorry had to take your first answer there Stuart)

What did you want to be aged 6?: Anything beginning with 'A'
